# Our approach | ApexCast

## How we tell local stories

ApexCast is an independent, AI-assisted local video newsroom focused on Apex, North Carolina, and part of Towncast. Our goal is useful, approachable coverage that helps people feel connected to their town.

## Characters, not eyewitnesses

Walt Bennett, Dewey and Archie the GOAT are original AI presenters. They are not real reporters, residents or eyewitnesses. Generated voices and images are part of the presentation; they are not evidence that an event occurred.

## Sources and human review

Human editorial review is part of our publishing process. We aim to use reliable sources, distinguish verified information from opinion, and provide source attribution with our coverage. Weather and other time-sensitive information should be read with its publication date and validity period in mind.

## Corrections and story ideas

For a correction, email mira@corbinapp.com with the video or post link, the statement in question and a supporting source. For a story idea, include the relevant place, date, source links and a way to contact you. We review tips; submitting one does not guarantee coverage.

## Independence and sponsorship

ApexCast is not an official Town of Apex service. Our North Carolina emblem is a custom brand mark, not a government seal. Sponsored material, when present, should be clearly identified as such.
